Run site: Denai Alam, Shah Alam
Hares: Joint masters
By: Raymond Lai
It was a hot, bright and sunny afternoon. It took me about 20 min. from my home in Shah Alam to reach at 3.30 pm.
The run started at 4.30 pm sharp by our GM, trail started on the edge of housing area up a small hill.
Checks were quickly broken by the front runners, could be due to familiarity and predictability of the
area: a frequently used area by most Klang Valley chapters.
After two or three checks, hashers were seen running or walking everywhere, mostly shortcutting.
This is a common scenario running in any oil palm plantation, the middle pack can always see front
runners from a distance, therefore, shortcutting is a norm. At one point where there was a split for the long and short
run, the middle pack short-cut and reached there before some of the front-runners.
Run length for the short one was about 8 KM, long one about 12KM.
Picture above is a thoughtful and lovely Valentine’s gift given by the hares.
On-on was at Backyard 2 at Damansara Perdana at a cost of RM10.00 per head. Due to the some reason, Yours Truly was not able to attend, mbut heard it was a great party with plenty of food and lots of dancing.
