10 WEEKER RULE FOR BAD RUNS

At the run on 3 April 2004, the GM sounded out the members, with a generally favourable response with regard to introducing a 10 Weeker Rule for any hare setting a bad run. This was the debated at the Committee Meeting on 6 April 2004 and the following decision were taken

1. Any hare that sets a run that is under 45 minutes for the first runner will be required to set a run 10 weeks later. There will be no exceptions.
2. Any hare that sets a run that is over 1 hour 45 minutes for the first runner will be required to set a run 10 weeks later. There will be no exceptions.
3. Any hare that sets a run over 1 hour 30 minutes and under 1 hour 45 minutes will be awarded a toilet seat. There is no exception. In addition the GM or in his absent the senior Committee present will decide whether the hare shall be required to set a run 10 weeks later.
4. Should the hare refuse to set a run 10 weeks later then he will be asked to leave the club.
5. If a hare has to set a run in 10 weeks he is not obliged to use the same run site or co hares.

This will commence with the run to be set on ……..

With the above rules hares are reminded that they should be aiming to have the first runner home in about 1 hour 15 minutes. More information on how to set a good run is available on the Petaling Web site as a downloadable file.

Inexperienced hares are advised to get an experienced cohare and to discuss their plans with senior Committee Members, particularly the hare master.

Experienced hares are requested to use an inexpereienced cohare to show them how it should be done (we hope!)
