From the Medic Whispers…
a. Kana Besar is recovery well from his bout of attack of the South Asian-strain of Elephantiasis. Health Authority traced it to Indian and Bangla illegal migrants at the Lenggeng Detention Centre. Appropriate Health & Medical screening are in order.
b. Joanne Castlemen was another victim of urban dengue fever, but we are glad she has gotten over the worse and wish her quick recovery.
c. Patsy Yap took on the Earth and crash-dived from her racing bike that left her with double broken jaws that require reconstruction surgery. Last reported that she is out of the wood and, she now has that John-Duncan resemblance. How tragic and unkind contemporary plastic surgery can be?
d. Saroo reconfirms that Roger ‘Chicken-head’ can re-function from his now well-advertised Willie’s job.
e. Paul Smith’s road to recovery took a boost from our Thai counterpartner.
f. It is confirmed that Opera Cheong has been indicted to the Gout Hall of Pain.
g. A non-hasher from Batu Pahat did the ultimate, took Viagra and chased it down with Estacy pills. He was mortally ‘over-rev’ while mounting his ride. Incidentally his name is Mr Kok [believe you me this is a true human tragedy].

The Run
This evening been the May Day weekend of 2004 saw a relatively small loyal PH3 crowd for the run. Many of our so call faith-full went to pay homage to Damansara H3 1000th Run. Perhaps the 40 of us were just too cheap to pay 50 bucks when we can run for free back in Petaling. The hare Jonathan choose Ladang Seminyih run site which we have not been running in that area for quite some time now, for a change we were parked at the edge of a housing estate Taman Bandar Seminyih.
The only Committee member on this evening who administered the proceedings was Emilia, who deputized Ron ‘Rajah Babi’ Brooke to start the run. And I swear Ron sure did run like f..ks to the first check into the rubber estate, chasing Alex F1 after burner’s fume. When Alex raced up to the top of the hill to break check 1, yours truly went around the hill and eventually met up with Helen Brooke and another John-Duncan look-alike Brain Gilbert from the UK. [Oh Mohammad, there are just too many JMD clones these days]. Papers just meandered through the estate, across a patch of vegetation and came upon this lonely bungalow at the edge of the rubber. We spied a familiar vehicle which drove passed our run site earlier, using our superior logic Helen, Ron, Phillipa and I decide not to ascend the steep hill by the bungalow and chose the dirt road which will take us home. Half a kilometer later we hit papers coming down from the hill on to the dirt track. Now we are but the front runners on papers, eat your heart out Alex F1. Your sister sure am glad she followed Uncle Don and was ahead of you to the finish.
First runner in was Lee, who hit papers earlier from a check up the hill but was accused by the second stringers for not calling, at 0128 hours. The rest of the hounds got in within the next 25 minutes. All in all a pleasant run by a small gathering on a May evening.

The Circle
A recalcitrant returnee Orangeman was on down for littering on the run with his plastic ‘Hotel Mutiara’ drink wrapper. We like our run area and site to be clean and refreshing, it is with the kindness and goodwill of land and estate owners and management that we are able to run in these areas. Last we would want to do is to throw litter in their land. Petaling H3 is not the only hash chapter that uses these run areas, so let us not spoil that privilege extended to us.
Could some learned souls enlighten us what is the difference between PH3 and P3H that’s what the Hash signs placed by the Hare to the run site indicated? He was on down and tried to blame it on the wife for printing the signs.
On On
The 30 or so die-hards adjourned to Sungai Jolok Restaurant for a well-earned dinner. We had guests and first timers in Brian Gilbert, Annie & Brian Downes, Jason Harrington, Ang YL and Marie Teoh.
The Hare was further on down for not taking down his P3H signs after the run. This is amount to littering we just spoke about.
The run was judged a T-shirt run, and the Committee owes the Hare a T-shirt.
Thank you Hare Jonathan for a fun filled evening.
