Members, their guests and some visitors arrived at the runsite in LaGong ready for the GM to call the hounds together and sound the OnOn.
The trail led between some A-frame chalets and along an Orang Asli track into the valley above a stream. It then went up the valley side through secondary jungle to a logging track. The trail followed this usual track back to the runsite with a loop through the Durian Orchard which, being out of season, was overgrown - as was much of the logging track.
It was much more of a Hash Hill Hike than a run with checks more for form than of substance. Indeed it would have been a good introduction to the longer Hash Hill Hikes organized by J.M.B.Duncan monthly on Sundays and one wondered how many of the current Petaling members support these events.
It would seem that there is not a run from this site.
Back at the run site the GM held a circle. After his circle it was announced that the OnOn would be at the Usual restaurant for which various directions were given. 5 tables were taken in the air-conditioned upstairs room of the usual restaurant where supper was provided at 130 RM per table.
As the club no longer provides the previous weekly 'Private Circulation' Newsletter by which the Scribe report was disseminated it would be interesting to see how many members now read the report which is available to the Whole Wide World apparently. Any member who has read this and spotted the deliberate mistake would be most welcome to join your scribe, with
comments, for a bottle at Ramli's at one of the June meetings.
