The run site was a new parking spot at Ulu Yam, not far from the usual spot and I was expecting a run through well known territory. However the hare had a few surprises for us with some new trails through rubber and palm, a little bush bashing and numerous opportunities to get our feet wet.
We were warned that the checks were different and so weren't too surprised to arrive at the second check only a few seconds after breaking the first one. From then on the checks were more 'normal' and didn't take too long to break, just long enough to keep most of the pack together. The trail worked its way up hill through a rubber plantation, turned right at a road and continued around into an area of palm oil where we followed paper up, down and around and broke several checks before reaching the drink stop. A shot of schnaps, a T-shirt and then off to the beer wagon.
On-on was in Ulu Yam for a delicious meal. I left before on-on circle so I never knew if the hare received a meddle but he certainly deserved one.
(ON SEC’s Note the Run was judged a T-shirt)
