Run 1419 : 22 May 2004

Venue : Ulu Tamu Bottling Plant
Hare : Gerrard Soong
Co-Hare :
Scribe : Isaac P……

The run site was at Ulu Tamu which is an attractive site with waterfalls and secondary jungle by all accounts.. The car parking was at the Mineral water bottling plant which the hare obtained permission to park. An excellent run by all accounts, clear directions, good parking space and good location for running . The first runner in was 1hr 15 minutes and therefore the run should be judged from an on -down to a medal run. I believe the run is a T-shirt run although I was not around to hear of the run judgment at the circle since Gail got hurt and I had to take her to the doctors.

The following is an report from my co-hare and partner in ‘crime’ Gail Thurkle.

Well, today’s run attracted the accident prone. It began with Dennis stumbling and spraining his ankle. And he was all alone. Until Isacc and Hugh caught up and helped him along.

It ended with Gail stumbling quickly and reaching for the nearest tree trunk. Which she didn’t realize was covered in humungus thorns. Egads. Much blood. But big thanks to Mei Mei who kindly poured her water over Gail’s hands. And Angie who stayed by to lend sympathy. And later met Gail in a river pond to sooth all aches and pains.

Thanks must also go to Dan who stumbled nearby, he said in sympathy. And Paul who promised to remove all thorns with his teeth and a big smile.

And …….. who said definitely an ‘on down’ if she skips the On On and heads for the nearest doctor. And to the doctor she went. Just too difficult to hold a beer and enjoy the pleasure.
