Run 1532 - 22nd July

Hare: Charlotte Parks
Venue: Langat Fishing Seafood & Beer Garden Restaurant
Scribe: SK Lee

A familiar run site where Petaling Hash had a few runs here before. A big parking space that can accommodate more than 50 - 60 hash cars with the restaurant located at the far end. Weather was good and fine.

We welcome back Dr. Gan (long time hasher) who has been with us for a long time. He has agreed to be one of the T shirt sponsors for the 2006 Merdeka Run. We hope you will come and run with us on a regular basis.

The run started along the right side of the restaurant and continued on to the right lane up a path where we passed three staggered fish ponds full of big red Tilapia, ready to be steamed. The run continued up a hill and on to a road where the first check was found further down the road. It was a back check which was quickly broken and the run continued along some familiar paths that went up and down and along some good running trails. As expected, the home trail emerged at the back of the restaurant and headed straight for the beer van. There was a lot of running for the front runners. This must be a T shirt run as most of us enjoyed the run. The ON ON was, as expected, at the Langat Fishing Seafood & Beer Garden Restaurant.

Looking back at last week's run No. 1531,(my run) with our mentor co hare, Rambo, who had for the first time broken the record for setting the shortest run that resulted in two casualties. We understand that the Japanese lady has recovered but the other visitor, a local china man, suffered a mild heart attack and was admitted. He was in the ICU and was discharged on the following Sat. He has been advised not to take up any running so we will not be seeing him again. This run proved that Rambo should not set short runs. He is better off setting his normal run (long run with hills, rivers and jungle).

You will be pleased to know that Rambo will be the co-hare again for next week's run. So be prepared for his normal run. (he he)
