Palm oil and more palm oil – a true multiple choice runsite with so many alternative paths for about 11km. This place is so open under the canopy that you can see front runners in the distance and do lots of corner cutting – which many people did. A great place for runners though and fortunately the day was cool and wet.
Our fearless leader Dave always seemed to be in the right place when checks were broken and called ON ON not with the usual bellow but faintly, so they say, – whispering Dave! We are not the SILENT HASH – we all call loudly !!
The second check was more like a coffee morning than a check. Around 50 runners standing round chatting. Michael said he would not look for the paper – he would just wait! So engrossed were they all that they ignored the ON ON call for several minutes.
Back at base, some inconsiderate SOB has built houses on our usual runsite so we were right down on the water’s edge. Nice for cooling feet though. First back was Nick, second Andy Lo, third Jane Trane. Total about 58 members and 12 guests.
