Despite not having recovered from my last week run n vaguely remember things that I have been thru the last couple of days… was told by my cloggy husband, acting as my reminder and again by Sen at the on on (not once but twice… good on you Sen for being such a patriotic hasher!) have to do the write up for this run. Hmmm…
Whose Run? Where about? Let me quickly check on the website was the reply from my hubby…hmm ...it’s Patsy Yap and the location is in Vicinity Serendah… oh! Ok. Having decided that we should take the alternate route recommended by the hare…. off we went and arrived early and safely at the run site. It was a good turn out inspite of the Global Indian Film Awards that weekend (having said that I did not see Nan at the run site !) and with the xmas holiday round the corner! Alas! Needless to say another Oil palm plantation run…how I dreaded it! Not that I have something against Patsy …sorry Patsy! But anyway the horn was sound at 4.30 n the troops start setting out. As usual I started out slow with Yuen Ching and telling her that I would walk it with her so to rest my knee from last week run( have been telling her the same shit since last year!) who cares!! Shortly Saru, Ben and Candy joined us and the conversations start to wear me out… and before I knew I was already running with Ben n leaving Yuen Ching behind in dismay 15 mins after the start.
The only one good thing about running in the Oil palm plantation is when you are on some kind of hills or slopes you could see people running and coming from all sort of directions. Why is this not a surprise?? Dah!! Came first check, second checks, false trails… could hear someone shouting ON paper when he or she wasn’t on it …would have iced the sinner only if we knew who the person was! Pre-warned of a long and arduous run, I tried my best to keep up with the troops and though at one point wanted to slow down but decided against it. Up and down the slopes, trotting thru some puddles we went. Which by the now I have ran about 8 or 9 km and caught up with the middle pack of troops…I vaguely recalled having conversations with some of them including my hubby…which at this point was checking ….trailing behind me was Nancy and Charles whingeing about how they were mislead back on the same trail again. Mass confusion reigned for 10 minutes, with false calling of OnOn and finally thought we found our trail back only sad to know that we were tricked. Aha! It was one of Patsy’s devious figure of 8 loop (sometimes it makes me wonder if she really was on her bike when setting it!) …down n up the slopes we trot again which by now it was down pouring.
Thank god! It did rain finally, beginning of the run it was hot n humid…..I recall Charles saying “it’s amazing how fast the papers melt when it’s start to rain” at the same time he was laying more on the yellow muddy trail. Hmmm….. Smart man for his age!
Despite the heavy downpour I was still trotting my way back to the wagon to make it up for the next 3 weeks for not hashing. Incase you want to know why??? Balit kampong lah for xmas!! As usual Alistair, the Crystal tits covered himself in glory again by leading his troops back first in 1 hr 32 mins and how many seconds did u say Jimmy??
At the circle, more crimes and chargers were coming from the floor …being the hot favorite crime that night was Tommy “ the arss fetish observer” and down down were given to the offenders followed by On On at The Equatorial Restaurant. How do you rate the run? I guess with Jimmy buying 2 tigers each table and with Patsy new curly wave look what can you say…the hare was honoured with T-shirt! Salute to you Curly Patsy!
OnOn . Happy Holiday and Merry Xmas everyone!
