Kojak the Botak
Paul Smith says you will kill yourself passing like that on Jalan Pangsun. I was late. Arriving to see a few others pander past the new adventure camp with its lines and wires for swinging from tree to tree.
Perhaps it is Kojak of the Jungle
He has control of the apes
He has control of the monkeys
But the same is not so
With these Hashmen flunkies
Catching up with these stragglers we hunt around in a swampy area having missed the paper up the adventure camp fenceline. It was a short but extremely greasy slip slide to the top.
His biceps are like iron
His triceps are like steel
You never once find him
Slipping on a banana peel
From here, it was reasonably fast paced to an open area where we encountered none other than Opera and GM Hugh having turned around – enough for us. Pursuing the open path to the top we encounter a milling crowd (Gary Murell, Uncle Soo, Klaus amongst others) about to follow the footsteps of Opera and Hugh.
His GPS is solid
His pace is most unhurried
His sense of direction keen
He has these wankers worried
Right. Off you go back and off I go forward and shortly bump into the back markers. A bevy of beauties single-filing through the jungle in an ever upward direction. More slop, on the really only trail up the valley. Onward. Gradually passing the column as the trail starts the anticipated anticlockwise move through the orchard to the only other trail heading down the valley.
He sets a nifty check
Along and beside a hut
Ripped paper going everywhere
We find ourselves in a rut
Finally, the paper was resolved to head back up the valley for another loop. Making headway through familiar jungle to the stream where Ah Wan is having a bath. – SAFETY MOVE - I cross upstream and able to get a bit of speed to one last loop and then another for good measure. After a short and slippy descent to the main road, a little cross country to bring us back home through the swampy bit we started in.
Kojak of the Jungle
Had everything under control
Except for that bloody great thunderstorm
He was really on a roll
