Herr Knut is away visiting his daughter in Great Britain who has recently made him a grandfather.
The poor man is still getting used to being a grandfather and so I agreed to scribe this report in his absents.
In was a long rainy day and traffic to get to the site was easy. Parking was ample and run directions was clear enough.
This run was set by very experience hares Christopher Boyd and co-hared by John Duncan.
Between them they have more then ½ century of hashing but still managed to get lost while setting the run. Hence, the actual run was not the run they expected to set originally.
It was a rainy day and many hash papers were washed off during the rain, thus causing some hashers to loose the trail. However all eventually arrive back to the run site safely.
Several hashers including Gail were lost for a while but managed to be back by 7.30pm.
There were 7 checks in the run and were broken quite easily. The first runner was back within the 1 ½ hour target for runs to be classified as a good run..
The circle was well attended by hashers who were entertained by several hash 'bomo's'(Hash witch doc's) . Candi was seen parading in her pink number and clearly missing Herr Knut.
The On On was at the usual Chinese restaurant just before entering Serendah town on the left . The dinner was fully sponsored by the hare including two bottles of beer per table. A very generous gesture for an Englishman . The meals were excellent and quickly downed by the hungry hashers.
The run was judged a Tee-shirt run and Christopher contributed a joke and John Duncan sang the lobster song or a version of it partially.
Nan , then revealed that Christopher Boyd lost his car while setting the run . Apparently, he had arrived early and while waiting for John Duncan, he decided to go for a 'walk about' with his proton wira and then drove into a ditch. He then decided to leave the car and set the run first before collecting his car . However, after setting the run, he could not remember where he left the car. Finally, he decided to thumb a lift from a fellow hasher after the OnOn and send his driver the next day to look for his car. Seems like all didn't go well for Christopher but he managed to pull it off quite well indeed.
All together, it was a very good run, good food, and good entertainment. Thank you Christopher for the excellent day
