Run 1601 - Nov 17 2007

Hare: Alister Beck
Venue: Ulu Yam Football Field
Scribe: Andy Rajalingam (Aileen D)

The pack got flaggged off at 4.30pm sharp by our GM and off everybody disappeared into the woods apart from the slackers who either stayed back or turned back due to the wet weather and all. Guess the Bomoh did not negotiate with "Huey" not to open up the heavens...

A total of 6 checks but good ones to keep the pack of 80 odd hashers together at all times and horrors of all horrors... Emilia was ahead of me!!! Geez, I must be slacking. Anyway, the run started off onto the grassy wet shiggy patch into the woods... pleasant slopes where most of us had our butts covered with mud (for smooth cheeks). Pleasantly slippery slopes with rain pouring down our faces and everywhere. Then came "the Hill" where some didn't dare venture up but Emilia did it!!! And if Emilia boleh, we also boleh. Waded thro' some "rivers" as some call it. Streams actually.

First runner in was one of the Davidson siblings - Ken. Most enjoyed the run but the circle was held on wet grounds. Bomoh for the evening was Botak Sage and charges were muttered and the accused were punished with the amber nectar. Circle was short and sweet.

Off to Hock Lay's we went for dinner and we had their very famous prawn in tomyam served in coconut husk dish. Good food but most of the dishes were all soupy... The hare generously put 2 bottles of beer on each table. Think we had about 5 or 6 tables. Good turnout considering the wet weather. The guests and virgins were brought up and the usual rituals were carried out.

On On On was called on to Backyard but yours truly wanted a date with her bed!!! Thanks Al for the good run and good evening.
