Hare: Tan Lee Hoon
Co-Hares: GS & Alpha Hashers
Venue: Damansara Perdana
After the arduous journey through the traffic jams of Jalan Damansara and the LDP made it to the run site only 15 minutes after leaving home.
Noted that I got greetings of what are you doing here. Even an ex GM and still a current member is allowed to attend the run. Besides I pointed out that it was my duty to scribe this run, to only get the reply
“You could do that from home it should go something like this:-
‘It was a hot and sunny day, It clouded over and rained a bit during the run. There were a couple of big hills to climb and a few checks to be broken; before everyone returned to Ramli’s beer truck and enjoyed the usual proceedings.’”
In reality the run could be summarized as follows:-
It was a hot and sunny day, It clouded over and rained a bit during the run. There were a couple of big hills to climb and a few checks to be broken; before everyone returned to Ramli’s beer truck and enjoyed the usual proceedings.
Some further observation on the run.
The run site was so close to the construction site that a couple of people had to remain on site to ensure the safety of Ramli and our beer.
If it had stayed as hot and sunny for a few minutes longer there could have been serious problems with the very steep climb up under the power lines as it was probably at least 2.5km before any shade at all was encountered on the run.
If you have a GPS, Kojak! you could have shortcutted very easily from the last check back to the cars.
Knowing the area and being a caring and responsible committee member I assisted some of the back of the pack to avoid the second hill by walking down the nice track all the way home.
Being St Paddy’s day the hare had provided Irish Stew for all the finishers
At the start of the circle, I think that the pack got the message that the new GM was “not a happy camper” as he got the ice out and immediately put the hare on ice describing the run as terrible. The hare was the only person iced that night.
Other people offered on downs included the Irish, guests and virgins, and even the ex GM myself for something that I was innocent of.
The ON ON was held at Yook Tho Yin, in Damansara Uptown with six tables, subsidized food by the hare. Unfortunately did not catch much of the circle proceedings as was stuck in a corner and unable to hear properly. This includes the run judging where the GM left it to the baying masses to call out what they thought.
And for those who thought I will disappear – I will not be there this coming week – Perth and Interhash is calling.
